Malt Shop

I have been drawing in a sketchbook since I was a little girl, and I have finally decided to start producing them as digital illustrations. To keep my design abilities fresh, and to build my portfolio I will be trying to produce of these each week. Life tends to get in the way of my designing, but I am going to try!
This is the sketch that I started with
Then I drew it out as a vector file in Illustrator
Then I added some texture in Photoshop to finish it off

Heart Day

Hope everyone had a nice Valentine's Day! I have always been a fan of Valentine's because of all the hearts and the glitter! When I was little I loved making my own Valentine's to pass out at school. Now, I get to design Valentine's that people buy to pass out!

Here is a handmade Valentine that I designed last year. Complete with glitter, foil, gems and a real key attachment!!!

Sparkly Starburst

Happy Tuesday everyone! Well, my new year resolution to post every other day has not had a great start! My goals to deign more and do more glass have not been happening either! Being sick really gets in the way of your plans.

Anyway, this week I thought I would post one of the cards that I designed at work. I love this card so much and am very happy with how it turned out.
This card has silver foil, gold foil, red glitter, glitter, emboss and gems.

Mother's Day Card

Happy Thursday! I love when the weekend is just around the corner. Even though I was home for two days this week, they don't count because I had tissues stuffed up my nose the whole time ;)

I know that originally I posted a lot of glass work on this blog. Please know there are more posts to come about glass. My hubby is currently working on a new glass studio for me so I am unable to work on any new glass. But fear not, I am always doing something creative! So, stay tuned, more glass will come!!!

For now, I wanted to show some fun cards that I work on everyday. This is a Mother's Day card that I designed for Design Design Inc. This is probably one of my favorite cards that I have done. It has a beautiful c-thru hologram foil to enhance the design.

Germs Germs Germs

Hello everyone. I have been so behind with posting on here due to work travel and being sick. 2013 started with me being sick for about 2 weeks and now I have caught another cold. So, I have been sitting on the couch watching horrible TV movies and snuggling with my Baby Payton.

I thought I should post something today, and decided to do a series of posts of greeting cards that I have done at Design Design Inc. All cards can be purchased at www.gallery19.us so please go check it out and buy some awesome cards!

I feel very luck to have the opportunity to design cards and actually have them produced. On a daily basis I get to design and work in a creative environment, but I also get to play with gems, foils and glitters. If you know me at all, you know that if I could, my house would be completely decorated in glitter. I LOVE anything that sparkles, so as my Dad says, this is a perfect job for me.

This is a handmade card that I designed and was so well received that it became a Valentine's day card and an Anniversary card! It has A LOT of gems plus some foils to finish it off. I handpicked all the gems that I wanted including the color, size and shape. Did I mention I love sparkly things?? ;)

Wedding Invitations

This past summer my Brother-in-Law got married, and as a wedding gift I designed all the stationery needs. The colors that the bride chose were a nautical blue and an accent of deep pink. Her flowers were peony, which are absolutely beautiful.
