This past weekend I got to go home and spend some quality time with my Mom and Dad and these furry little babies. Love seeing them all!

It's a Girl!

Now, before anyone jumps to conclusions . . . all I did was design a baby show invite ;) It is 5x7 and a matching thank you note, also 5x7, can be purchase along with it.

Amy, I hope it's ok that I used your name ;)

Happy New Year!

Obviously it's not January 1st, the heat and humidity make that VERY obvious! However, I just finished a new design for Rosh Hashanah. :)

Thank You Cards

As a child, I was always expected to write thank you notes for everything. My parents would make it an activity to keep it fun for my short patience child's mind. Instead of giving me little cards to fill out, they would give me a stack of paper and crayons. My assignment, which I took very seriously, was to draw out what I was thanking that person for on the front of the card and then write my note on the inside. So, for every birthday present, Christmas present or sweet gesture, I would take up my crayons and paper and draw out my individual masterpieces.

I have carried these values into adulthood and find myself wanting to send thank you cards to someone who has sent me one! Just to say thank you for thinking of me and taking the time to write me a personal note. :)

Here are a couple thank you note designs that I have come up with.

Female driven card that would be personalized upon order.
Male driven card that would be personalized upon order.

Sneak Peek

Here is a little sneak peek of what I'm currently working on.

Happy Father's Day

As a designer, I always find it more difficult to design "male driven" designs vs. "female driven" designs. I think because I enjoy the swirl and organic flow of the line, my designs tend to lean more towards feminine looks.

Lately I have been pushing myself to try more masculine patterns / design. In honor of Father's Day here are some of my card designs that have been produced.

Happy Father's Day to all the Dad's out there, including my awesome Dad who has been one of my biggest cheerleaders since I was born. I am so lucky to have parents who support me in so many ways and there isn't any way that I will ever be able to thank them enough. This post is dedicated to them. See you soon Mom and Dad!

Baby Payton

My baby likes to hide under things so my hubby built her a fort with a card table and a blanket. She literally was just sitting in there hanging out for a while tonight. Can you spot her?

Iris

Most everyone who knows me, knows that I LOVE iris. They are my favorite flowers in the whole world. As stated in my previous post I go out and take pictures for reference. This photo is from a lovely bouquet that a coworker brought in for me. She has a large garden with iris, poppy, bleeding hearts and sage. She took the time to make me my very own blend of all those flowers. It's always the small things like this that make my heart so very happy.

Flowers

As many know, I am in love with flowers! When I was little I would help my Grandma garden and care for all her beautiful flowers. As an adult, I don't have a garden other than some hostas that I don't have to do anything with. My dream would to have a beautiful garden with tons of flowers . . . and the time to care for them! Until that dream comes true, I go around Grand Rapids and appreciate others hard work and take photos for reference. Here are some that I found last weekend that I can't wait to use for painting/design inspiration.

These photos have not been color corrected yet, so my apologies for them being a little dark :)

Graduation Card

It's that time of year again! Schools are being let out for the summer and kids are walking across the stage while their families whoop and holler and Moms cry. We have multiple graduation parties to go to in the next couple weeks, which means I need to pull out my greeting cards boxes and pick the just right card. Here are a couple that I designed.
